I am excited to be a part of 29 faces again!
I am starting a day late so I had two faces to create for today.
Face 1. Next step is wood burning and I am pretty excited about that!
Face 2. I have seen a couple of other artists put watercolour down and then draw. I found this challenging because the watercolour was a distraction for me seeing an image come through on the paper. There are many eraser marks but all in all it was a good exercise. I may do it again for another face. 🙂
Happy creating! xx

Oh, here’s coming something interesting, that wood looks so inspiring. Water colors are challenging for me too, but they flow so beautifully as in your face 2.
Thank you! I am always learning but I find I love the way watercolours take to paper in so many ways. I am a little nervous about starting the wood burn because it’s been a while since I have done one. Practice practice!
i love what you did with her hair
lovely face too
i29 faces is such a fun thing to do
I am enjoying playing with hair these days! Thank you, Tammie. 🙂
I don’t know how I missed your faces from the February go round of 29 Faces. Just looked through them and love your styles!! Fun to look at!
Thank you, Caryn! 🙂
I love wood.burning. If’s been a while since I’ve done that. So far it looks great and I’m looking forward to the w/b. Great job on both.
Love the whimsical & free feel captured in both drawings, they have a spontaneous joy 🙂 Awesome (as is your name ‘Moongirl’)
Haha! Thank you! xx
vived and beautiful

Wow, that’s quite a complicated drawing to be woodburning! Can’t wait to see it! Love your experiment with the watercolours first and drawing later.
Thank you, Denise. I am a little nervous to start the burning – no room for error!
Moongirl, I LOVE your work. I had some serious catching up to do here… so much beauty. You are so talented. Happy weekend! xx
Awww, thank you, Pauline! ❤ 🙂
I have never done any wood burning… well, maybe ages ago when I was a very young girl. It sounds like so much fun. I’d love to see how this transforms.
I have yet to do the burning. It’s sitting on my art table watching me walk by day after day. I’m nervous! 🙂
I really like both of these, Moongirl, but I am most drawn to the second one. I am TERRIBLE at abstract things so I am completely mesmerized by this ethereal portrait that you have created so beautifully. I do love the watercolor background and I think it is superbly balanced between what can be seen and what cannot be fully seen by the admirer.
Wow, thank you so much. I have a challenge with the abstract, that is, creating it so this took time and a lot of erasing! 🙂
I absolutely LOVE this painting! SO much so I went looking for the course but it seems it’s no longer available. 🙁 Color me disappointed!
Oh no! I will check…
