It’s been a full day so far and I still have things to check off of my bullet list! But it’s been a good full day so I cannot complain.
To begin, I got up early and practiced my yoga with one of my favourite books, The Way of the Happy Woman, then did a bit of chakra work with my crystals. This prepares me for the day and freshens my energy centres.
Yummy breakfast!
I have a good amount of old t’s of my husband’s just waiting in a pile to be repurposed. I’ve seen many a post about using them to make a rug so that is what I have decided to do. I had cut some of the shirts months back but it was time consuming with cutting horizontal strips and then adding them together. I have since, however, found a handy blog post which shows a much easier way to go about this step while making one long strip. I took some pics as I went along.
The tricky part is then cutting this all into one long strip. It’s not rocket science by any means but do check the link as you want to cut the strips diagonally so that they end up as one long piece.
Here is my pile of t-shirts and the ball of cut strips so far.
I realize that my husband has owned a lot of white t’s. As I connect them I will have to make sure I throw in the coloured strips at regular intervals. Or I could just see what happens!
I have also started a new book, Journey to the Dark Goddess: How to Return to Your Soul. I am loving it already and I am only on the second chapter. I generally switch up between novels and non-fiction so after the werewolves and vampires getting down with the Dark Goddess is just what I need! Click on the link if you’d like to read the synopsis.
I am still crocheting the shawl I started a couple weeks back. I am eeking out bits of time but it’s been a bit of a challenge to get it to lie flat and not pucker. I have pulled a bit out twice and now am crocheting looser chains which seems to help. Once it is blocked hopefully it will look juuuust right.
I am still making art! I just haven’t posted much recently but soon…very soon I will do a post about my recent work but until then…here’s a little peek.
And I found Willow. Isn’t she lovely? She stands guard over my computer with my xenomorph warrior. The xenomorph knows better than to mess with Willow because she will turn him inside-out. No guff.

Following along with Ginny on this fine Wednesday.
Happy creating!
