Yes, it has. Here’s what I’ve been up to since my past post:
I finally finished that shawl I’ve been working on! Yay!
We are really enjoying this beautiful season. We are in full ‘leaf-loving’ mode!
We are going to frame these lovelies!
I’ve been very busy picking fresh herbs to make all my special kitchen witchery concoctions!
Dabbling a bit with my wood burning tool with this heart chakra symbol. I used to do wood burning all the time as a kid and really miss it!
More yoga socks! Look at that yarn! Aren’t those just the perfect colours for this beautiful season? So cozy!
I’ve never dressed up as a witch for Halloween before and it was so much fun!
Braaaaiiiiinnnnsss! Yum!
My boys wanted to be Inklings from the Platoon video game so I made them some fleece hats which they can wear all winter long. Win win!
I finally finished my first mandala that I began at the beginning of October. Yes, too much on my plate. I am quite happy with the way it turned out and must say it does reflect a lot of who I am.
There have been some beautiful sunsets these days. I don’t think I could ever get sick of sunsets…
…nor the moon, of course! And there is just something so amazing about seeing it during the day. I just love you, Moon!
This is my latest creation: my uniseahorse. Really love her/him. 😉
Today we went outside to gather up some of the leaves and the boys had a great time in the mild weather and sunshine.
They also decided to whittle down the handles on their hammers to make them round and then use the file to smooth the wood out. I love it when they become really focused on a project. Makes me smile inside and out!
I had just realized that this month is Create Every Day month! Oh goodness, I could really use a good creative kick in the ass so I decided to clear the rooms of all of the stale energy floating around. Oh how I love the smell of sage burning.
Happy creating!
Moongirl xx
Well hello there! Things look good in your world 🙂 Question for you…whittling. I am looking to get Reece his first knife for Christmas, what knives are your boys using? I have one in mind but can’t seem to find in North America, sadly. And are those protective gloves they are wearing? Thanks!
Hi Kim!! 🙂 We didn’t do a big search but I did ask a friend who knew his knives. In the end we went for a couple at MEC: Gerber/Bear Grylls Scout Knife and Leatherman c33x Crater Knife. We wanted something that was folding for safety but would also stay open safely too. Both knives have an indent in the bottom for so the hand doesn’t slide forward to the knife (big plus) and they felt comfortable for the boys to hold. We also got them Maxam Mini Lockblade Knife for cutting twine or twigs. We found that having the serrated edge on the whittling knives made less room for smooth cutting. Let me know what you decide (for curiosity’s sake)! 🙂 xx
WOW! You have been very busy! I am intrigued by you canning endeavors…..what is in all those lovely jars?? PS LOVE your uniseahorse! ♥♥♥
Hello Robin! 🙂 I have Rosemary Gladstar’s fire cider (you can search it on youtube for the video) and also her venous salve and lemon balm glycerine, and my own plantain salve. Love seeing them all sitting together in the sunlight!
Love it all! Your Uniseahorse and mandala are just wonderful! xo
Kisses!
my goodness that was a creative post for you all, so wonderful to see all your lovely and meaningful art and knitted beauties.
Thanks, Tammie! It comes in droves at times! 🙂
