I should have listened to that little girl inside of me all along…she always wanted to be an artist.
Glad I finally did after all of these years!
The weekend was a whirlwind that continued on until today! I had a great time auctioning and selling this past Saturday and Sunday (details in last post). This week was filled with printing art, finding safe and flat surfaces to let it dry for 24 hours (a challenge when you homeschool because there is stuff all over the place!), trimming prints, signing them and packaging it all up. Plus I got pretty cozy with Paypal again and experienced the wonders of printing shipping labels in PayPal too! It’s a great system because if your client has a PP (teehee…) account you enter in their email address and all of their shipping info comes up and you just input all the details for shipping. You do need a scale that can weight packages – like a kitchen scale. Print out the label and boom, yer done!
Okay that sounded so easy. But it took time to get it all done and keep everything in order. But I think next time around I have more of a system and this whole thing won’t take so long to complete.
That said, you know what?
I enjoyed the process! Crazy, right? Usually I hate shipping stuff out. You know, packing it all up, getting addresses and making sure everything is secure and there are no mistakes. I triple checked everything and it took forever but it felt good and some crazy part of me looks forward to doing this again.
I know we are ‘supposed’ to make art for ourselves but I like to share it and when I make something that someone loves it makes me feel sooo good and sooo in the right spot, you know?
I send mucho love to all of you awesome people out there who bought prints and an original painting from me this weekend. You all lift me up.
I cannot wait for you all to receive your packages.
In the meantime, I think I shall go make some art… 😉
Oh ya!

Love this. I definitely relate to your enjoyment of the process of packing and shipping. I’m like that too. It’s fun to share the art we make with so much love. It’s like we’re sprinkling bits of our soul in people’s homes.
Oh I like that, Jackie! Sprinkling bits of our soul in people’s homes. Lovely! ❤
Congratulations! So glad it went so well! 😀
Thank you, Robin! ❤
So great! It is exciting to hear you are loving the whole process now! xoxo
Absolutely! Thanks Dawn! ❤ ❤ ❤
