I’ve been trying new things this month so far when it comes to creating. I mentioned in an earlier post about working on a painting I started months ago. This morning I decided to continue the work. I was at a stand still having no idea where to go after I had painted it all white with a swirl texture in the middle – wish I had taken a picture of it that way…

I added some colour with my boys’ acrylics. It was fun to add on the colour and I didn’t mix at all just used primaries.

Sorry for the glare from the lights in these but if I do more with it I will photograph it again under better conditions.

Moonweb_Nov10-13_01I found the white moon too white so I added some blue.

Moonweb_Nov10-13_02I let this dry a bit then blended it and added some white that had mixed on the brush other areas.

Moonweb_Nov10-13_03I am pleased that I started painting this piece again. I don’t paint much at all – it’s the unknown for me – so just trying was a big obstacle to overcome.

I am going to give this one some time (only a few days I hope!) before I come back to it.  I don’t like the moon in the centre as it seems to feel dead, it needs movement within the frame. But, I am glad I managed to paint this morning before I went off to work. It felt good to have something done early in the day.

Thank you, as always, for all of the encouraging comments and advice. I’m loving the feedback, what a wonderful community of artists out there – amazing!!!
