I am struggling with where to go from here. I had just recently begun this blog late last year and it has been a wonderful way for me to make art again and share that art. My goal for this year is to become a full-time artist. By full-time I don’t mean 40 hours a week. I mean, quite my job and just do art. I don’t work full-time because I homeschool which is my absolute priority. But, if making art can replace my ‘money-making job of the present’ then I will have begun to live my childhood dream.
If you are a creative who struggles as I do, by rules upon which you grew your beliefs were built, rules made by those who don’t really create themselves, please watch this, or at least listen to it as I did (while perusing Pinterest for inspiration). It’s phenomenal and above all inspirational to my creative soul which right now is suffocating.
Happy New Moon Year. May it be a dream come true.
very inspirational! thanks for sharing and hope your dreams come true!
Thank you, Joyce! and for you as well. 🙂
That is a great goal, I look forward to following your journey as you make it happen 🙂 Happy New Year!
Thank you, Kim. I am pretty stoked to share more with you! 🙂
What an amazing speech. I will need to listen to this again a few times to let it sink in.
I wish you the best in making your childhood dreams come true!
I do love Neil Gaiman. His novels are dark but with a strength only light can give. I will try to listen to his speech once a week – more if I can. It has been made into a book as well – Make Good Art. 🙂 Here’s to dreams coming true.
