I mentioned in my previous post that I have been busy editing images for a big product order and thought I’d share some of those images here…they are after all, creating, as a good friend of mine pointed out. 🙂

Sometimes, I forget that my photography business is still creating because it’s ‘work’ as well. I love the shooting part and being with the people (this family is one of my favourite) but I am not a fan of sitting in front of the computer for the editing and all the extras, that’s when it’s ‘work’.

These are a few of my favourites below. I generally let families do their thing, that way the kids do kid things, the way it should be.

  1. You’re right: these are also creations, and beautiful as well! I especially love that last picture. I agree with you, the sitting in front of the computer makes it work, and is less fun. But sadly enough it needs to be done …

yes, sadly enough…but it does feel so good when it’s all done. a big accomplishment to finish amidst the havoc of our everyday! 🙂 I ‘liked’ your FB site and looked/favorite’d your Etsy store. Sooo great!

      1. I always wanted to try beading, but did not know where to start. It is great going to this craft group where we get great instructions from the mum who organizes it. It gives me the opportunity to try something new without having to invest in all the materials straight away. I just get to feel what it is like. Getting us out of the comfort zone in creating allows us to experience the endless possibilities that reside inside of us.

You are so right! That has me thinking, there is a mom in our homeschool circle who has a bead company – maybe she would offer to do a class…I do find though that the problem with being creative is you want to do EVERYTHING! It’s hard to choose, do you find?

Yes I also find it hard to choose, at the end of the day any type of creating is a bonus. So just try to be creative when and where ever you can and try something new once in a while. Getting out of our comfort zone is what makes us learn new things.
